ANDHRA PRADESH TOURISM AUTHORITY
GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) is a statutory body created by
Government of Andhra Pradesh for the development of Tourism and Tourism
industry in Andhra Pradesh.
2. APTA is in need of active, knowledgeable persons with positive attitude
wanting to contribute to tourism development for the following roles. Working
persons from leading private sector organization / serving or retired staff of central
government/PSUs/State governments/Autonomous bodies/ independent
consultants are also welcome to apply. In-service officers of
Government of Andhra Pradesh having minimum three years of service to
superannuation are also encouraged to apply for deputation.
3. This position is temporary and contractual in nature. Initially 2 years is the
Contractual period and shall be extended subject to the satisfactory performance of
the candidate and the requirement of the position within the organization.
4. Salary is not a constraint for the right candidate.

1. Director – Industry Development Group – 01
Job profile
To work with the Chief Executive Officer of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority to
make Authority activities related to tourism industry development.
Responsibilities:
 Partner with industry to identify their needs and required infrastructure in
order to retain their competitiveness.
 To market the tourism potentiality of the state and bring investments.
 To regulate the activities of hotels, Travel agents, Tour Operators.
 Drive investor engagements through meetings, investor roadshows, investor
meets, participation in travel fairs/ marts etc including direct one to one
contact with prospective investors

 Evaluation of DPR’s submitted by investors for its authenticity,
completeness and preparation of detailed note for CEO.
 Partner with residents for sustainability and tourism development.
 To prepare, review and update tourism strategies, sustainable tourism plans,
policies, regulations, guidelines and programs cutting across the Authority.

 1st class post graduate degree in relevant field and experience of minimum 20
years of progressively responsible in investment Banking / Processing
Investments/Tourism Projects and other related areas. Out of which: -
Minimum 5 years in development of any organization/industry with decision
making role.
Desirable
(a) Proven experience in Policy making;

(b) Proven experience in Learning and Development of any organisation

(c) Knowledge in creation of any organisation from scratch
Upper Age Limit:
Not more than 60 Years. Age limit shall also be relaxed for a prospective candidate
by providing a statement by a Doctor about the health condition.

2. Assistant Director – Investments – 01
Responsibilities:
Initiate and manage investor connects
 To market the tourism potentiality of the state and bring investments.
 Drive investor engagements through meetings, investor roadshows, investor

contact.
 Preparation of an investor database across each tourism products and
services

 Identify the best national and international level industry players for each
tourism infrastructure project and tourism service

 Identify investors in Andhra Pradesh, India and abroad who may be invited
to invest in tourism in Andhra Pradesh

 Undertake discussions with investors on possible projects, investment
models and engagement model

 Assist Director (Industrial Development Group)

Investor Facilitation
 Design a comprehensive investor facilitation program in tourism
infrastructure and tourism services in Andhra Pradesh

 Benchmark with the international and national best practices and adopt
them for Andhra Pradesh.

3. Assistant Director – Capacity Building – 01
Responsibilities:
 Provide intensive training in various disciplines of tourism development,
management and promotion

 To plan and monitor setting up of new tourism Institutions and academic
programs in existing universities, as well as handle matters relating to
existing academic institutions.

 To undertake capacity building of manpower and service quality standards
of the industry through short duration courses.

 To take up initiatives in support of job creation, quality work in Tourism

improve existing programs.

4. IT -Executive – 01
Job Profile:
IT (information technology) executive manage the information technology needs
and systems of APTA, including implementing database and network designs,
installing and upgrading software, ensuring systems security and troubleshooting
computer issues throughout the organizations.
Responsibilities:
 Managing Server

 Maintaining uptime of all software and hardware

 Troubleshooting issues related to all hardware and software

 Maintenance of anti - virus and ensuring that the anti - virus patches are
regularly updated

 Updating Operating system patches

 Keeping track of license expiry

 Maintaining data back-up of the entire end users of all crucial departments

 Maintaining and pooling of software(s)

 Managing the telecom technology (with vendor assistance)

 Managing and maintaining passive networking

 Managing internet services

 Managing CCTV

 Managing all documents related to IT department (e.g. purchase orders,
invoices, delivery challans, service reports

 Maintaining IT checklists on a regular basis

 Asset tagging and tracking

 Maintenance and regular updation of IT asset register and provide the same

 Minimum 2 years of relative experience for Administrative Executive.

Job Description
 Maintaining Accounts.
 Account reconciliation and analysis: Prepaid Expenses, Deposits, Accrued
Expenses,
 Investments, Capital Leases, Inter-company balances
 Journal Entries including maintenance of recurring journal entries and
allocations
 Coordinate the monthly book close
 Supervise the Accounts Payable Supervisor
