1. Applications in the prescribed proforma are invited from the candidates fulfilling the
prescribed conditions for undergoing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act,
196I and Apprenticeship Rules, 1962, in the following units of South Central Railway.

Welder trade.

4. Qualifications:- 10th/SSC with minimum 50 % (aggregate) marks with ITI in trade
5 Processing Fee:- {100/- (Rupees Hundred only) in the form of a crossed Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank or a crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of
Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment) Railway Recruitment Cell, Secunderabad
- 500 025 payable at Hyderabad or Secunderabad. Remittance of processing fee in any other form will not be accepted or refunded. These instruments should not have been
issued earlier to 18.06.2018.
No fee is required to be paid by sc/st/pwd/ women candidates.
Ase Limits:-
(a) The candidates must not be less than 15 years of age and not more than 24 years of age
as on 18.06.2018.
(b) In the case of SC/ST candidates upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years and in the case of OBC candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years.
Mode of Selection:- Selection of the eligible candidates for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 196l will be based on the merit list which *onld belrepared taking the
average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both mairiculatiotr ;*itt minimum 50o/o (aggregate) marksl and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
8. Whenever required, the candidates should personally bring their certificates i.e. educational / Technical, Date of birth and Community etc.. in original for document verification.
9. Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible to appty for
apprenticeship in response to this notification as they are governed by a separate scheme of apprenticeship.

10. Physical standard: Candidates selected will be required to pass the prescribed medical
examination as per rules in force before induction into the training course.
ll.Trainine & stipend:-Training will be arranged in accordance with the standards and
syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council. The selected candidates will
be paid stipend during Apprenticeship at the prescribed rates as per extant instructions.
12. Other condidtions:
(a) The candidates who are called on any day notified by the Administration for
verification of certificates are not eligible for any Travelling/Dearness Allowances.
(b) Original certificates or Testimonials should not be sent along with the application
but should be produced at the time of verification of certificates.
(c) The selected candidates shall execute a contract of Apprenticeship under the
Apprentices Act,1961 and if such a candidate is a minor, his parent/Guardian shall
execute the prescribed contract.
(d) The Apprentices shall be governed by the provisions of Apprentices
Apprenticeship Rules, 1962 as amended from time to time ind such
Rules and Regulations applicable to them.
 (e) The obligation under The Apprentices Act, 1961 on part of the Railways is to
provide training only and not to absorb the trained apprentices Hence the
candidates will have no prescriptive right for regular absorption/employment in Railway service on completion of the Training.
(f) In case an Apprentice discontinues the apprenticeship training and fails to fulfill the
obligations as per his contract without valid reasons, he shall have to refund the
stipend paid to him, the cost of training and such other costs that may be determined
under the Rules by the Railway Administration. The decision of the Railway
Administration in this regard will be final and binding.
(g) Mode of Application:- Candidates should submit their applications through any of
the following sources duly ensuring that the space providid for in the applcation is
used by the for.warding authority for the purpose:
(i) Nearest Employment Exchanges.
(ii) SC/ST/OBC organizations.
(iii) ITIs wherever existing.
(iv) Wards of Railway Employees through their controlling Officers.
(h) Eligible applicants should submit their applications in the prescribed proforma
(Annexure-'A') through any one of the above sources. Applications received other
than the above sources will not be entertained.
(i) Railway employees should ensure that the applications of their wards are sent to this
office through their respective controlling officials.
(i) The application form should be filled up in ENGLISH or in HINDI only in his/her
own hand writing.
(k) A colour pass port size recent photograph should be affixed on the application duly
signed by the applicant.
(l) The following self-attested photo copies of the certificates are to be enclosed with
the application:
1 . 10th/S S C Certificate in proof of date of birth.
2. ITI certificate with consolidated marks sheet of all the years.
3. Copy of the latest CASTE CERTIFICATE in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates issued by the District Magistrate lMandal Revenue Officer in the prescribed proforma. (for SC/ST candidates - Annexure 'B' and OBC candidates Annexure-C)
4. Physically handicapped certificate duly issued by the competent Medical Board as
per rules in case of PWD candidates (Annexure_D).
5. Two identical passport size colour photographs firmly stitched in separate cover to
the application (apart from one copy pasted on the application form).
(m) The applicant should submit only one application.

13. Invalid applications:- Candidates are requested to read instructions thoroughly before
submitting the applications. Otherwise, their applications will be rejected on uny of the following reasons or on any other valid reasons.
(i) Application received after the crosing date i.e. after 17,07.201g.
(ii) Application without signature (or) done in capital letter.
(iii) Identification marks column not filled up.
(iv) Do not posses prescribed qualification for the Trade on the date of application.
(v) Over aged or under aged or Date of Birth not filled or wrongly filled.

(vi) Left hand thumb impression not affixed/blurred/smudged form.
(vii) Application without colour photo or photo with cap, wearing goggles,
disfigured, unrecognizable or scanned/Xerox copy.
(viii) Incompleteapplication.
(ix) Application not in prescribed form.
(x) Application filled in language other than English or Hindi.

14' Applications duly filled-in all respects with the enclosures and the forwarding from any
one of the four sources mentioned in Para l2(g) atthe bottom of the application, shouli
reach the office of The Deputy Chief Personnel Officer/A& R/SCR, RRC, 1st Floor,
C-Block, Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad- 500 025, on or before the due date i.e.
No further correspondence in this regard would be entertained. Canvassing in any form
would be a disqualification.
15. Notification, Application Format and all Annexures can be seen on the official website of South Central Railway www.scr.indianrailways.gov.in by clicking Act Apprentice
Notification-2018 (available in important information box). Candidaies may iiso visit
the same website for further updates, eligibility/ineligibility etc. that will be placed
from time to time.
