661 Industrial Cadre Gorup 'C' posts at Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi < 12.5.2016
AGE LIMIT AS ON CLOSING DATE OF APPLICATION i.e.:

a) For INDUSTRIAL CADRE (IEs)
The requisite Educational Qualification is Matriculation + National Apprenticeship Certificate
(NAC)/National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by National Council of Trades for Vocational
(i) For the posts of Fitter, Welder, Fitter Electronics, Electrician, Machinist,
Electroplater & Painter : NAC/NTC issued by NCVT in the relevant trade.
(ii) For the posts of Fitter AFV : NAC/NTC issued by NCVT in the trade of Fitter.
(iii) For the posts of Examiner : NAC/NTC issued by NCVT in the respective
trades of Fitter, Machinist, Welder, Electrician, Fitter Electronics.
b) For NON-INDUSTRIAL CADRE (NIEs)
i) The requisite Educational Qualification for LOWER DIVISION CLERK is
a) A pass in 12 th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or
b) Skill Test Norms only on Computers: A typing speed of thirty-five words per
minute in English or thirty words per minute in Hindi on computer.
(Thirty-five words per minute and thirty words per minute correspond to ten thousand and
five hundred Key Depressions Per Hour or nine thousand Key Depressions Per Hour on an average of five Key Depressions for each word.)
c) Typing Test in Hindi will be conducted only in UNICODE font. No request
for change in Font will be entertained.
ii) The requisite Educational Qualification for STORE KEEPER is
a) A pass in 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University
Basic knowledge of computer application having “O” level certificate as per
Department of Electronics Accreditation Committee Certificate (DOEACC)
9. HOW TO APPLY:
a) All Candidates (including Ex-Trade Apprentices of HVF and sister Ordnance Factories)
applying for Industrial Cadre(IEs) and NIE posts if eligible, must apply Online only.
Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and will be summarily
b) After submitting the Online Recruitment Application, the candidate will have to take a print out of the online application and send the same to the address mentioned in the print out of the application along with proof of Fee payment or proof of Fee exemption after affixing recent passport size colour photograph (same as the one uploaded) with signature and left hand thumb impression in the space provided in the application. In the absence of Left hand thumb, then Right hand thumb impression must be affixed. No other documents are to be enclosed with the application.
c) Candidates are advised to retain with them a copy of the application form for their future reference. All correspondence will be based on the Registration Number generated at the
time of submitting the application.
d) Candidates should check the website using login with Registration Number and Password for
updates on the date of examination, venue, date and time etc. Hall tickets can be printed only
on this method.
e) Candidates are advised to print the hall ticket in duplicate prior to written examination which
will be intimated later. The hall tickets have to be produced at the time of the written
examination after affixing recent passport size colour photograph (same as the one affixed in
application) along with a valid ORIGINAL Identity Proof (PAN Card, Voter’s Identity Card,
Aadhar Card, Driving License or any other photo identity proof issued by Government).
f) The candidate should sign and affix left hand thumb impression in the space provided in both
the hall tickets only in the presence of the invigilator. In the absence of Left hand thumb, then
Right hand thumb impression must be affixed. Candidates bringing Hall Tickets with
signature and thumb impression already affixed will not be allowed to enter the examination
g) The candidates are advised to submit the online application well in advance without
waiting for closing date.
h) Applications will be summarily rejected where the photograph is Black & White, not
clear and smudged, candidates wearing goggles, one side view of the face or the
photograph is disfigured and unrecognisable.
i) The signature of the candidates should be in running hand and not in block or capital
or disjointed letters. If the signatures are not matching at the time of written
examination, document verification and trade test, the candidature of the candidate
will be cancelled.
10. DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES:Initially candidates are not required to submit any document or certificates along with the print out of application to the factory except proof of payment/proof of exemption from payment. However, the following documents/certificates in ORIGINAL along with one set of all photocopies self-attested should be submitted by shortlisted candidates after the written examination AT THE TIME OF DOCUMENT VERIFICATION PRIOR TO TRADE TEST / SKILL TEST.
a) Matriculation/10th standard or equivalent certificate indicating the date of birth.
b) i.) NAC/NTC issued by NCVT in the relevant trade (for Industrial Cadre (IEs) )
ii) 12th Standard/10+2 Certificate (for Lower Division Clerk & Store Keeper)
iii) Equivalent Army Qualification Certificate in the case of Ex-Servicemen.
c) No Objection Certificate from their establishment in case of Central/State Govt./PSU
d) Community Certificate by the candidate seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC
in the PRESCRIBED PROFORMA from the competent authority indicating clearly the
candidate’s caste, the Act/Order under which the caste is recognized as SC/ST/OBC and the
village/town the candidate is ordinarily a resident of. OBC candidates seeking reservation
should submit certificate issued by the competent authority in specified format certifying that they do not belong to creamy layer.
e) Physically Handicapped certificate in prescribed proforma issued by the Competent
Authority for physically handicapped persons eligible for appointment to the posts on the
basis of prescribed standards of Medical Fitness. The Competent Authority to issue
Physically Handicapped Certificate shall be Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or State Government i.e. Vocational Rehabilitation Centres.
f) Discharge Certificate issued by the competent authorities for candidates claiming Ex-Serviceman category.
g) A candidate claiming to belong to the category of Central Government servant must have
served minimum three years of continuous service and thus seeking age relaxation would
require to produce a Certificate issued after the date of advertisement from his/her employer
that he/she is a regularly appointed Central Government Servant and not on
casual/adhoc/daily wages/hourly paid/contract basis employee. The age relaxation will be
admissible to such Government servant working in posts which are in the same line or allied
cadres and where a relationship could be established that the service already rendered in a
particular post will be useful for the efficient discharge of the duties of the posts which has
been advertised. Decision in this regard will rest with Sr.General Manager, HVF, Avadi.
h) If the certificate is not either in Hindi/English, then a duly translated copy in Hindi/English has
to be produced at the time of document verification.
i) Date of advertisement in Employment News: 16-22 April 2016.
ii) Date of opening of online application: 22/04/2016 at 00:01 hrs.
iii) Date of closing of online application: 21 days from the date of opening of online application
i.e. 12/05/2016 at 23:59 hrs.
iv) Last date for receipt of printout of online application form: 10 days from the date of closing of online applications i.e. 23/05/2016 (22/05/2016 being Sunday) upto 17:00 hrs. The printout of online applications received after 10 days will be summarily rejected.
