Technology and Science knowledge background now form a very essential condition for building specialized legal profession in Technology Law and Intellectual Property Rights. In order to bridge the wide gap in the specialized legal professionals and human resource, the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law has been established by the Institute and presently offers: (a) Three-Year Degree of Bachelor of Laws with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights, (b) Three-Semester Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and (c) Doctoral program in areas of law and related to intellectual property rights. The School is also engaged in various research and development activities towards creating the knowledge base in the given areas
Posts: Professor & Dean – 1 (One) Post
Qualifications for the post: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in any of the following specializations and evidence of the ability to pursue independent high quality research.
Specialization: In the areas of Corporate Law, Family Law, Technical Law, International Law, Industrial Law, Laws Regulating Formation of Government Contracts, Laws for Intellectual Property Rights.
Experience for the post of Dean: At least 10 years teaching / research of which 5 years should be at the level of Professor / Professional experience in High Court / Supreme Court as Advocate with proven publications and exposure to the International practices.
*Plus additional perks as admissible as Dean under the Institute rules from time to time.
Reservation: Without any compromise on qualification, experience and competence, reservation as per Government of India rules is applicable.
Academic reimbursements and other incentives
a) Initial grant up to a maximum limit of Rs. 28 lakhs for carrying out research projects.
b) A Cumulative Professional Development Allowance of ` 3.0 lakhs for every block period of 3 years (Rupees one lakh per year) may be made available to every member of the faculty on reimbursable basis to meet the expenses for participating in both national and international conferences, paying the membership fee of various professional bodies and contingent expenses.
c) An additional amount of ` 50,000/- is being given from the SRIC fund to the faculty members who is the Principal Investigator of a Project amounting at least ` 15,00,000/- and has at least three Published Papers in referred journals in the preceding three years.
d) Reimbursement of relocation charges upto ` 90,000/- from within India / abroad to the faculty members at the time of their joining.
e) Interest free soft advance of ` 50,000/- to the newly recruited faculty members.
f) Honorarium of ` 15,000/- per month to the faculty members who have obtained Bhatnagar Award / Honorarium of ` 15,000/- per month to the faculty who are fellows of at least two National Academies.
g) Free local telephone facility in the Department as well as residences within the campus.
h) Transport Allowances and re-imbursement of Telephones bill upto ` 1500/- per month as per rules.
i) Medical facility for self and other dependent family members in the B C Roy technology Hospital within the campus and for referrals to Speciality Hospitals as per IIT Kharagpur rules
j) Children Education Allowances (CEA ) / LTC facility as per Government of India rules.
Accommodation: Suitable residential accommodation as per rules will be provided in the Campus of the Institute on joining the Institute.

Minimum requirement of experience may be relaxed in respect of outstanding candidates.
Degrees referred above should have been awarded by a recognized University / Institute.
Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for interview. The decision of the

Travel support to the extend of Air fare (economy class) by the shortest route within India and Institute
