Analyst - Competitive Intelligence

Roles and Responsibilities:
Competitive Intelligence analysts play an integral part of the business decision-making process and help IBM achieve and maintain competitive leadership. They develop understanding, create insight and drive action for senior management and individual business function leadership (e.g., strategy, marketing, sales, technology development, finance, human resources, etc.). Employees in this role identify competitive trends, provide early warning on threats and opportunities in the evolving competitive landscape, and evaluate their impact on IBM. They help decision-makers understand the competitive implications of current and potential decisions and drive action across the company through timely, high impact deliverables.Using a variety of methodologies, employees in this role detect competitive behavior and initiatives assessing both the possible success and impact on IBM, including emerging strategy, marketing, product/offering, manufacturing and technical developments.
We are seeking candidates who provide thought leadership and timely, actionable market insights on competitors, derived from the analysis of market research, marketplace data, and expert opinion, and competitive information in order to drive informed executive decision-making, both within and across business units and functions. Success is ultimately measured on achieving strategic advantage in the marketplace and meeting business needs and on the timeliness, clarity, and utility of the actionable insights and analysis delivered. The candidate must be able to work in a high profile, high impact and high demand role balancing needs of multiple clients and projects.
The applicant should be minimum a graduate in business management with 2 to 7 years of work experience.
