APPOINTMENT OF MEDICAL OFFICERS
Applications are invited for appointment to the post of Medical Officer on Part-Time Contractual Basis at the Underwriting & Reinsurance Department of the Central Office of Life Insurance Corporation of India situated at “Yogakshema”, Jeevan Bima Marg, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400 021.

The Terms and Conditions of Appointment are given below :
Age Preferably in the age group of 36 to 55 years.
Qualification Post Graduate Qualification in Cardiology/Post Graduate Qualification in Medicine with experience in Cardiology
Period of Appointment :
Appointment will be on a part –time contractual basis for a period of three
years renewable at the discretion of the Corporation depending upon
performance, health etc. of the candidate at the time of renewal of contract
but in any case will not extend beyond the age of 60 years of the candidate.
The appointment can be terminated by either party giving 3 month’s notice.
Experience 5 years teaching experience / practice.
Duty Hours The appointment will be on part-time basis. Candidates will be required to be on duty for at least four hours on each working day.
Method of Selection:
Selection will be based on qualifications, experience and performance in
interview. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in
Work profile Opining on online cases received for new proposals/revivals/claim cases and
employee health benefit cases. Guiding and advising the Underwriting &
Reinsurance Department of Central Office in the matter of sub-standard lives.
Conducting quality analysis of the opinion given on ECGs /TMTs & other
prescribed cardiac investigations by the Divisional/Zonal Medical Referees.
Proper assessment of cases in view of increasing competition, awareness
and expectations of the consumer. Drawing suitable programs and
participating in underwriting seminars held periodically, helping in planning
and conducting various medico actuarial studies as and when needed. The
working is online and it is expected that the candidate should be able to work
on computers to give decisions online.
